Super Long Update

I am just going to copy and paste from Live Journal. I managed to keep that up to date more. It is long, sorry about that everyone. Things will start getting shorter now that I am working.

Sorry about the delay. I will get you caught up now. It has been a busy past two days.

Day 4

This day Krystal went to the Canadian Pavilion to be on TV. They were filming for the Disney Christmas Parade on ABC Christmas Morning. So if your going to watch it, keep your eyes out for the Canadians.

I could not go unfortunately so I stayed at the appartment I posted the stuff you see in the previous post and drew some pictures, and got caught up on facebook. When Krystal got back we got ready and went out to MGM. OMG we went on Tower of Terror 5 times. We also went on a bunch of other rides and saw "One Man's Dream" show. Really neat and interesting. Helped me out a lot at Traditions... but I will get to that in a minute.

Anyway, if you don't know already I have a unhealthy obsession with Tower of Terror. So I will now go back and explain why for those who think I am crazy... Unfortunately I cant get into the real magical part but at least the first thing that drew me to it. When I was a kid there was two main things I was afraid of. Elevators, and being trapped on them, and the feeling of falling. So Tower of Terror seemed to only loom in the distance but as a kid I had such high respect for this ride that we bought a pin... nothing like the trading pins now days. But it was really neat. Sadly it is at home in Canada otherwise I would get a picture. It is pretty old school as it was for when the ride first opened. The next time I came I was a little older and my Cousin's had been on it and loved it. I decided this time I would just do it. But once there again I chickened out. I think we got to the gate before I decided I did not want to go, this time I was also afraid of Spaceship Earth cause I thought it was Space Mountain. I was actually really afraid and nervous that year going down that I did not do a lot. Then many years passed and I was going again with my Grandma and Aunt for my 18th birthday. At that time I decided I had to face my fears and go on all the rides. THANK GOD for fast passes. I went on Space Mountain, Spaceship earth, and on our second last day I made it to Tower of Terror. Doing it myself was even more scary but I was so determined to see what I had feared and respected so many years. One time on turned into two that day... which the next day it turned into 9 times. I soon found myself loving the ride, and it became my new favorite ride. (Like I said there is a real magical moment with the ride, but cant quite say on here.)

Anyway so ya 5 times of my fav. ride yesterday. I finally got Krystal to love it just as much. You go on enough and you will find really cool Bellhops. Some just have so much fun with it which I think is another reason so many love the ride. Some of the cast members they picked for that ride really do get into their part. Some just put you on and start it but some have their own character they created for that ride. So Krystal and I found a new fav. Bellhop. (My old favorite must have finished his contract.) Wont say who it is cause there really is so many good ones. Best thing is to see them on the bus on the way to or from work. I love going on the E bus.

Ok... well AFTER our day at MGM (or well Disney Hollywood Studios) we caught the bus over to Epcot and I got to go on Sorin' THAT is such a neat ride as well. I have never experienced anything like it. Krystal introduced me to the Sorin' crew cause we share a break room with them. Then we began to walk around the world. Krystal Introduced me to the people in Canada and people in the UK. And then we walked around stopping in Morocco, Japan, Germany and Norway. We were pretty sore by Mexico. My friend Ely was working but I could not see her. Plus it was like SUPER PACKED. So I don't know if I just couldn't see her or if she was on break.

I went backstage then and headed over to the bus. Wont say what Backstage is like. But believe it or not you can actually get a peek of our backstage from one of the rides. But you will have to guess what ride.

We caught the bus and came back here then went out to Wal Mart. I got lots of food. Well not LOTS but enough. I cant buy a phone till after my first pay check. I only have like 40 something dollars. Unfortunately it was not till we were both on the bus getting ready to go back that I forgot my hair dye. :(

Day 5

OMG waking up at 5:30am after the night before was brutal. I cant remember much. I took a shower and then garbed some pop tarts and then headed out to the bus. Got on and waited till we left. We went to Disney University which is located behind Magic Kingdom I believe. Once there we got out and waited to be inspected. I still don't understand how my hair is different then anyone else's hair. So many girls have hair worse then mine. Oh well, I am slightly pissed off but I don't feel like arguing. Not like they are asking me to jump off Spaceship Earth or something. I just find it a little unfair.

Then we headed into the cafe there till they picked our groups out. We were Group Peter Pan. We went up to our class room place... round tables sort of thing. Like a presentation thing. I sat down and it began. OMG part of it we were laughing so hard. The guys I was with were really funny at times. But I am sure a lot of the silliness was from lack of sleep from everyone. OMG there was one part we were all almost asleep for. It took silly videos or games to keep our attention, when we were not laughing at that or struggling to get our team win a game. It was a LONG day though. Even during the fun parts. But there was a great surprise for us at lunch. We were going Under Magic Kingdom for lunch in the Cafe there. (Most of you I am sure know of the tunnels under Magic Kingdom. For those that don't, Magic Kingdom the theme park is actually like 14 feet over the ground yet you cant even tell your not right on the ground. Under Magic Kingdom is the tunnels that almost create a city of that allow cast members to get to their workplace without being seen in the park.

Then we went back and watched the rest of the presentation. It helped to have eaten. When we were done we were taken in groups to meet some managers and get our time tables. I am happy with my timetable.

Then we got on the bus and headed back. On the way I met a lady from the same place as me. It was neat. She was excited to go to Magic Kingdom so I we decided we would meet at the bus stop at 6pm and head out to Magic Kingdom. I then went back to the appartment had supper with Krystal and then we went out to meet her. And then off to Magic Kingdom. OMG MK at Christmas was unbelievable. If you have seen the castle lit up with the new Christmas lights on TV or pictures... it is no where near as amazing as seeing it in RL. Just amazing. We went on Pirates of the Caribbean and then we went on Haunted Mansion and then onto 3d show. I forget the name. I will update it with the name when I think of it. LOL. I know it is sad. Such a nice Disney thing to watch. It is like your right there in the Disney Movies.

Then we saw Wishes. OMG I was so happy it was not the Holiday ones. It was the original one. I want to see the Holiday ones but the regular ones just fit better with things now. Like having my wish come true to be a Disney Cast Member. It was just amazing. And I could not help but think that most of the other new cast members were also probably watching it with us somewhere in the crowd bringing in their first night as a cast member the only way cast members should.

Then we went on Splash Mountain and saw SpectroMagic the parade. Really nice ending to the day. We then caught the Mono Rail back to the bus and off to The Commons for the evening. We watched some BS and then went to sleep.

-------------------

Today is going to be fairly easy. Krystal has to be at work for 10:30 or something like that. I have my first training at Disney University today, so I have to dye my hair this morning, and then I will get caught up with online stuff. I have to be at Disney University at 1pm today. But it is only a 4 hour class or something so I am happy about that. So it is the last sort of relaxing day. And I found out this week is the ONLY week I have the same days off as Krystal. So I am happy with that. I was going to get up and go ride TOT this morning but I don't think I will today cause I have lots of morning stuff to do. So I will probably do it on Thursday cause I don't have to be in till 4:30pm.

Anyway I will keep you updated as things go. Things will start getting uneventful every day. I mean it will be different each day but writing every day might be crazy. So you may not see it updated as often. It will be updated AT LEAST once a week is my goal. But there could be more then one a week so check back when you can. Of course there will be one when I get home from my first day of On the Job Training.

Day 6

Another early day. I had to be back at Disney University (at 8am) for my training day. The first part was fun. The ladies who taught us were a lot of fun. We were learning about food. I was starving. At least Tracey brought hot chocolate to share. THAT was awesome. After that we started computer classes. YUCK. OMG the most boring day ever. I was last to leave and so missed the bus and had to wait 20 minutes for the bus. I also forgot to clock out so I RAN back and clocked out and then ran back to the bus stop. I was still hungry... we never did get a break that day. When I got home I threw down some pillows, and went to sleep on the floor in fornt of the TV. My head hurt. I woke up a bit later and moved up onto my bed. Krystal came home and we watched some BS and I still passed out before it ended.

Day 7

We had to meet at Epcot for 8am now. I got over there and almost got sucked into the wrong group but DJ found me in time to get me to the meeting room. We then headed around back stage till we got to one of the big buildings. I wont say which one, and had another few computer classes to do. There was not enough computers so some had to wait. They were rather loud too. LOL. But I had some good laughs. After that we went to the Canadian Pavilion and got our pictures taken. Photos will be posted privately later so only friends on mine on here can see. Then we met with our manager, Brandon and set up some stuff with our folders for the afternoon. When we got done I decided to take Tracey around the world, cause she had never been to Epcot before. So we walked though the pavilions. Man I could be a tour guide. I had so much fun. We got home fairly late but still before Krystal, I was still too tired to do much. Not sure why. I guess when I get back to the appartment I feel tired. I convinced Krystal to go out to the girls drinking party that night so I could watch what I like to watch on TV and fell asleep.

Day 8

Another meeting at 8am at Epcot, this was FINALLY our discovery day. I was so happy. I missed the bus though cause as I was waiting I realized I did not have my ID to get on the bus/clock in and show security. So I RAN back to the appartment, got up here and started looking, only to find out they were in my beg I had with me all along. So I ran as fast as I could back downstairs and to the bus stop but had missed the bus. :( So I caught the bus that would get me there 10 minutes I was glad the lady was waiting for me, and then we went into a room to watch a movie about Walt Disney's vision of Epcot. It was really cool. After that we split up into teams and did a tour of Epcot. Mainly future world. But we got to go on Spaceship Earth. The new part to it was pretty cool. We had some good laughs. I will go with someone this weekend maybe and e-mail some online and not so online friends of mine our picture thing. :) We took the boat around World Showcase which is not as cool as walking. We got welcomed into the Epcot Family, and unless you have witnessed it, cause we do do it with guests around, I wont tell you what it is all about or anything. All I can say it, it was weird after knowing about it for so long to actually be there. Like living a dream that has gone on for so long. After we took a tour of some back stage areas which were really cool And to finish it off we went and watched a welcome thing and then went to get our costumes. Man did that ever take a long time. It was funny cause the guys took longer then the girls but complained the girls were taking too long. Yet we said nothing, lol always seems to be the way eh. Well then we got lockers and I put my stuff in there. Tracey and I were going to go on Test Track and Sorin' but Test track was a long wait. Then a guest out of no where came up and offered us some fast passes. Unless he saw us at the wave, he must have had no idea we were actually cast members. Tracey and I laughed after, It is very magical when a Guest give the Cast Members Magical Moments. We then got to go over to a Pop store and we drank pop from around the world and we toasted to our becoming Epcot Cast Members. Then we checked out the Disney Store, and then back for Test Track. What a ride. Lots of fun. I of course yelled out "BACK STAGE" when we went back there... The ride drives us crazy I am so glad it is not Tower of Terror that went half back stage right by our eating place. I would lose my mind. But Test Track had taunted us for two days we were glad to get on it. Then we went on Sorin' which was neat. We had to wait but the guests were a lot of fun to wait with. Then we went on the Living Seas with Nemo. Tracey loves Nemo. The ride stopped a lot but it was nice. We then went to the bus stop and Krystal met us there. Once back home Krystal and I went to the outlet mall across from our home and had supper. Then we got back, watched some BS and then went to bed.

Day 9

First day on the job. Had to be at Epcot for 9am. So I took the really early bus this time. I had lost my belt. I think someone took it. It is weird. Or maybe I did not pick it up, I don't know. So I got a belt on loan for two days and got it on and headed over to the Canadian Pavilion, and walked though the park. Met a few guests along the way and greeted them. Then I waited back stage with Spencer. It was a long boring wait but then Ashley our trainer arrived. We went though our papers, she gave us a bit of a tour and then we waited some more. Finally we got to start seating people. The first group of guests were awesome. They even took Spencer's and my picture cause we were new. Man they were awesome. About two times we watched Ashley seat and then started into our own and next thing you know both of us were seating on our own cause there just was not enough cast members to seat everyone cause a few people called in. So we certainly jumped right into our work. Almost everyone I seated that day were just wonderful people. I love talking to them. I am not a people person but these guests were so happy and excited. I loved meeting them and talking to them and almost wished each table I did not have to leave. I really hope they all enjoy their meal. Even more so the really nice ones. In one day I met so many wonderful people who touched my heart. How awesome is this. I cant believe I work here. Lunch we walked over over to the big cafe area and had lunch. It was nice. And then we got back over to work and jumped right back in again. Time flies by and soon we were done. Then I headed home and hung around on the computer for the evening and then off to bed once Krystal got home.

Day 10

Well this is the day I am writing this. OMG it is POURING outside. Like... Wow. How do you get to work in this kind of rain... I will be soaked. Like I have never seen this much rain fall in a short amount of time. It is literally like the skys opened up and here it comes. I work from 3:30pm till 10pm. So shorter day but late day. Tomorrow I have the day off, as well as Saturday. That will be nice. Tomorrow is pretty much full but I am hoping to see Ely on Saturday cause I have not seen her for a while.

NOTE: If you read all that your amazing. LOL. I will be posting pictures in my next one I think. It will just be a short one about work this week. So I will add some pictures to this blog finally. :) So keep your eyes open the end of this week.

Day 3, Meetings, Sick, and Doors that wont Lock

Day 3 was yesterday. It was rather uneventful really. I got up and walked Krystal to the bus stop and then came back here to chill for a bit. Then went out to the meetings. There I got a horrible headache. So when I came back I crashed. I was so tired too. When I woke up I was hungry and so Krystal and I went out to the mall across the street from us and got something to eat. Then we came back and made a video about how our bathroom door does not lock. Check it out.

Well after that we were invited to Chris' place. I was not too sure if I wanted to go. I had taken an alive and was feeling better but Krystal told me that the others had to be out by 1am which was like 2 hours away so I said I would go but not drink. I had one beer really. My stomach was not too happy but it was not horrible. I kind of liked the game "Flip Cup." Wish Krystal got a video but she did not.

After we came home and Krystal was sick. Thats what you get for drinking too much too fast. I was glad I wasn't. After our nightly BS watching we went to sleep, it was like 3:30am.

This morning, not sure what is up with Krystal but she is in one hell of a bad mood. Probably not feeling too well. But she got up which is good and headed off. I am sure being on TV would make her happy as there is a TV thing at Epcot this morning before World Showcase Opens. At least in Canada there is.

So that is where I am at now. I got my work schedule now finally. So this is what I will be doing for the next few days.

Sunday, 1pm - 5:30pm = Class
Monday, 8am - 4:30pm = Class
Tuesday, 8am - 4:30pm = Class
Wednesday, 9am - 5:30pm = OTJ Training (Seater)
Thursday, 4:30pm - 10pm = OTJ Training (Seater)
Friday, OFF

To be honest I REALLY hope my days off each week are not Friday and Saturday. Those are Krystal's days off. I am all for having one day off together but really... TWO? Then not only will we be living together. And she be my big sister (Part of the Throw In in Canada is they assign you a big sister. She isn't really, in fact I am older then her.) But then we would also share the same kind of work schedule. Ya that is a quick way to get me to Self Term myself. I NEED to meet more people. I really enjoy hanging out with Ely. We were supposed to go shopping yesterday but I felt sick and passed out on the floor watching TV. Totally not as fun. But I want to meet more people like her. Hopefully there is more out there and I really think there is. With the room mates that she has, it is obvious that I can make some great friends here. So once work gets going I am going to make it my goal to make friends with co workers and try to get out with just them for the day. The new people are so cool I don't want to ruin a friendship but not going out with them. Today they are going to Universal. I don't have the money for that so I couldn't go even if I wanted. I also gotta hang out with Ely too. She always makes me feel better about my decision to come here and work. While hanging out in this appartment always has the opposet effect.

Anyway today is the big shopping day for when Krystal gets back. We are going to Wal Mart, I will get my new Cell and some food. Then we are going to Walgreens so I can pick up all the stuff I need there. THEN probably get back here and drop it all off, and then go to MGM and I would like to go to Epcot for the evening. My last day as a Guest of a Cast Member. (Tomorrow is Traditions and I will then be a cast member working at Disney, and so have my Disney ID to get into the parks whenever I want.) I will get lots of pictures though most likely they will only end up on facebook. I have some busy days ahead.

Day 2 Meetings, Mexican Dinner and Throw In

OMG today started off so boring. I got to meet our other room mate a bit more. Guess what her name is. Nora. It is so funny to see that on a Disney Name tag. She is from Germany. She seems really nice but I have also heard bad things. She was very welcoming to me which really made me feel good cause I did not want to live in an appartment where I don't talk to anyone. I also met up with some of the guys from my arrival group. They are really cool. Very friendly. The meeting was really boring. Some parts were funny but it was basically all the do's and don't's of living and working here. At our lunch break I had to come back. My stomach was a little upset so I got to sit on my own and eat. It was nice. I don't want to be anti - social. Then I came back to wait for the bus where I met a Brazilian guy who loves Squirrels. Yes that may sound like a vague random description but I thought it was awesome cause everyone back home loves them. So it was something I really picked up on when he said how much he loved them. Man Brazilians have a cool accent. Then I went to get my ID. It was very crazy. But glad that part is done. Apparently I have to change my hair colour. Which pissed me off cause I did this specifically for this so it would look very uniform and natural.

Then I came back here and packed. I will see if I can get some pictures up of our room. I cleaned my bed all up and it looks pretty good considering I did it in an hour. After I ate an orange and then chilled for a few minutes on facebook and then I found out our Throw in is back on. So I am going to that. I then got a message from Ely from Mexico. She was making dinner and wanted to know if I wanted to come over for a visit. Being without food and really wanting to get out and see someone friendly and nice I said sure. I ran out trying to find her building but got lost. The Commons is such a big place. So I ran back to my appartment and called her. She told me how to get to her place. She is just on the other side of the club house. She said she would meet me at the mail boxes. So I ran back out and headed over. I found her and she took me to her place.

OMG she has a 2 bedroom appartment like me but OMG. It is BIG. I love it. Her and her friend Monikea (Really I don't think I spelt it right. But if you sound it out I believe that is right.) That was awesome. And we ran into another Canadian who had locked herself out. She was just new too. Such a nice girl. Ely let her into her appartment to use the phone. She is in good hands living next to Ely.

After she got back in Ely's flatmate Katie arrived. She is from the UK. OMG it was like heavily. The food was unbelievable. And the company was even better. Such a friendly group of people. I wish I roomed with them. Here it is just like "Don't talk to anyone." But there, man it was such a friendly group. I could have stayed all night.

I just got back thinking Krystal had text messaged me. (but found out she was only on her way home.) So I got dressed and started writing this and Krystal came home. Turns out not much home alone time for me tomorrow. LOL. We are together all morning. Which is cool. I just need a bit possibly once a day just to keep sane. I love being social. But I just need even 15 minutes to myself just to keep in a friendly mood. :) But Krystal works late so I will have the evening to myself. I don't think I will party tomorrow. I just might come back and draw some. It would be nice to draw again. LOL. Still have to go out and get pictures around the complex. Ely and I are going to Wal Mart tomorrow. Krystal is certain that she come too. She has to pick up some prescriptions so I said she can come too. I don't want to go in the morning though. It is just too risky. But we will see. It will take some thinking to plan out tomorrow. It is my last day of meetings and another boring day. Friday I have off. :) Saturday is my first day of paid work.

Check out my Live Journal for pictures from today. Or check out facebook of course.

EDIT:

THROW IN

Ok... well cant tell much. Don't know what I can and cant say so wont see much. Lyndsay came over to our place and we sat out in the living room for a bit. She is a new person from Canada too. She is really nice. Krystal walked us both over to appartment #2525

There we went in and chatted and met some new people and people who had been working there. Around 11pm we made our way all the way across the complex to appartment #622.

There we waited outside the appartment in the hallway. We could hear everything else going on inside but not everything. The Germans were across the hall bringing in their new cast members too. So it was really crazy. Theirs was an army themed.

Then we were suddenly all pulled into the room... and.... the rest is fuzzy. Yes unfortunately I cant say much more past that point. All I can say was it was really hot and a lot of fun. Finally I know what it is all about. I cant wait to bring in new cast members. It was lots of fun and I just could not wait to be one of the others. And Colin who is officially staying now was thrown back in.:) Yay Colin.

After the party we just walked back here. There was the option to hang out more but my stomach is a little sore. And believe it or not... I did not drink much... alcohol.

Well tonight has come. I think I will just get ready for bed, watch some BS or maybe just draw. Tomorrow is a later day as I already said. So that will be nice.

Travel and Day 1 in Disney

Dec. 1st

This day was rather uneventful really. After getting on the train (nice big one. We called it the 747 of the train world.) I was on the second floor too which I loved. I was tried but listened to my music for an hour and then went to sleep for an hour. I woke up hoping that it would be like 6am but it was only 3am. That sucked. Once morning came we had some really beautiful views. I got some really neat pictures. I will update this journal entry when I have time and add some pictures.

We were late getting to Washington but that did not bother me. Took one hour off my 5 hour wait. But unfortunately this meant no movie. :( Washington train station is a big one. But in 4 hours you can easily see all you want to about 500 times. So I got bored fast. I talked to Krystal and found out our friend Collin is leaving Disney. He was part of our interview group. It is so sad. I still don't know why. He has his throw out the day I arrive. I also called mom. Apparently it was not long distance. Weird.

Anyway I hung out there and got more neat pictures. My train was the ONLY train delayed. That really sucked. But finally it came and I got on and started my long trip. I call this one the DC9 of trains. It is a shitty little one. The room in the bathroom is less then the room at my seats. And yet this one is taking me for the longest trip. And man the crying kids. LOL. Guess it is a sign of what is to come right. LOL. I will have to get used to it sometime. It is just even worse when your trying to sleep. I understand though. At least this kid had it right. Cry when it is bumpy.

Dec. 2nd

I got half hour sleeps here and there. My stomach hurt so much. Both from being cramped up in the way I was sleeping and from just being sore in general. Was I ever happy to see 6am. I am not really awake still but at least it is daylight.

Today I talked to mom for almost an hour. Helps time pass. The views are not THAT great here. Makes me miss going across Canada. There was always something neat to see. And holy cow shaky. Like what is up with that. My computer is not happy about this constant shaking.

Well only a few more hours. It is 8:15am right now. So I have about 4 more hours till I will be packing up my stuff to get off. THAT will be insane. I thought I had problems getting my carry on off at the last train. It will be crazy to have to carry all that PLUS my two pieces of luggage.

Tracey is picking me up at 3pm after her meeting. I am very excited about meeting her. And of course getting to Vista Way. I cant wait to just get to the appartment, throw down my stuff and head out with Krystal to Wal Mart. I need to call my friend Ely from Mexico too when I get there. I cant wait to be there with everyone. I hope I still get to get out to Dinner with Kristy and the others. I really want to meet them. Hopefully something will be planned. They know my cell number AND my appartment number so maybe they can get a hold of me.

I also want to go see Collin one last time. It is sad he is leaving. He is so funny, and I love his blogs.

Well not much else to say. I will add a bit more about my arrival when I get to the appartment and post it online when I get to The Commons. I will also post Krystal's tour of the appartment. I will make my own too sometime but at least you can see from before I get the chance.

-----------------

After I got to the train station I waited about 2 hours for Tracey. It was a good wait Really helped bring the excitement. :) She came and gave me a hug right away. I was so happy. She is so cool and such a nice lady.

She took me to pick up her cute daughter, Elizabeth I believe her name is, and then she took me to Vista Way. Where I was greeted by the Disney Welcome team, got my information, and my pass to leave the commons and then the key to my new home. Tracey then drove me to my new home. I am sharing with Krystal.

After getting unpacked and cleaned up a little (Krystal got me a new shirt which is totally me.) We left for Disney Studios so I could go on Tower of Terror. Man that ride really is like a drug to me. I go once and I need to go more and more. I love it. What fun it was. We then went on the Great Movie Ride. That was fun too.

Unfortunately I forgot my pass to get on the Disney Cast Bus, so we had to cab it back. I felt bad. But I will pay Krystal back by taking her out to dinner tonight. The security at the gate was great. I am so happy they were nice and let me in. I must remember it tonight though.

I got back and had a shower. Feel a little better but my stomach sucks. I met Norah just a few seconds ago while typing this. She is from Germany and shares the other room in this appartment with a girl from France.

Now we are going to catch the bus at 8:59pm to go to Downtown Disney for supper. I am hoping Ely from Mexico can go too. Norah got the phone now and Krystal tells me that now we wont be getting it back. So I am going to ask Ely what appartment she is in and maybe stop by on the way.

Tonight is Collin's throw out. I am so sad he is leaving. I am happy I will get to go to it. My Throw in is tomorrow. So I will at least get to meet the Canadians before I get there. I knew Collin so I wanted to go and apparently they are cool with me coming. YAY.

Well I am going to get ready now. Hopefully I can sleep tonight. I still have to make my bed. I will do that when I get home. I have to be at the clubhouse for 8:30am. I get to meet everyone then take a bus to Vista Way, and then shuttle back to The Commons for 1:30pm. So I think I might come back here and unpack a bit more.

Thursday I have a meeting at 12:30pm. It goes till 2:30pm... or well the last presentation starts then. Friday is my day off.

In Toledo

Well I made it this far. I am now in the USA and past the border. We got a Days Inn Hotel here for the next few hours then I am off to the Train Station to leave for Florida. It is such bad weather right now. I last saw sun as we were taking out dogs to the boarding place back in Canada.

I woke up late this morning and had to rush around to get everything cleaned up quickly. I then took the dogs to the boarding place and then we went out to pick up the car, and left then. It was a long drive but we made it to the boarder. It was so nice there. They called me a Q'y and I was the one guys first "Disney." It really began to feel real. Even more so now that I see all the American flags.

So now we are in the hotel like I said. The train ride goes till tomorrow afternoon when I switch trains and take my last root to Orlando. I got a ride for when I get to Orlando. Not sure how well the internet will work when I get there. I get there in the afternoon on Dec. 2nd.

Anyway I am going to get ready as we are heading out to eat, pick up some Alive cause I have a headache and some headphones so I don't go crazy. I will be back online again tonight. Maybe get on MSN tonight. We are not going to the train station till 9pm and even that will be to just drop off my luggage and then come back to chat some more before I leave. Once I am on the train I probably wont have the internet at all. But I will keep updating my computer so I can just copy and paste a nice updated journal entriee when I get there.

Less Then A Week Now

Well less then a week now and I will be living in Florida. I still have so much to do. It is getting crazy. But things are going well. I have a feeling Monday before I leave will be insane. I must remember to e-mail Disney with my flight times.

So much of nothing has been going on for me. I have been so busy I cant even think straight. I am of course excited about the adventure ahead. It is mixed with some nervousness but I think I found something to help calm the nerves... no not alcohol. LOL.

My friend from elementary school took me out to dinner last night. What a great time. We have been friends for the past 18 years. I mean how could it not be an awesome time. She is also coming to my final friend get together on Saturday. That will be nice too. And bringing a cake. :P

Tomorrow I am hanging out with one of my other friends for the day. We are going down town so I can have my favorite smoothie. I will miss them a lot when I am gone. Then we are coming back to this end of town and going out to eat.

Friday I possibly have an appointment... not sure yet. Doctor is supposed to call. Just to get my stomach looked at a bit more. But that day I also go out for dinner with our neighbors. And I think there is also something else that day too. And then I have my last hair appointment to get my hair all ready for a year at Disney. :)

Saturday I have breakfast with my uncle and mom. That will be exciting. I don't see my uncle too often. That evening I got a little get together with a few friends at Tim Hortons. Inbetween I am going to finish cleaning my room the rest of the way.

Sunday I got my Ceeps party. As long as all goes well LOL. Even though my suprise party was there it did not have the Ceeps people I usually see and talk to when I am there. I think that morning I will do laundry so I can pack my suitcase.

Monday I have brunch with mom. And then finishing up packing. I also need to clean off both computers of unwanted stuff or just stuff I wont need for the next year. I will probbly do both of that on Monday cause it can be done as I pack. As well as hopefully a going away picture.

Tuesday of course at like 4am we leave to get to the air port. I actually should be arriving in Orlando Florida around Noon. But not sure if that will stay that way or not. If anything it will keep being later. Darn flight was suposed to get me there at 10am when I first got it. Once I get to the appartnemt I will of course updated this. But I will probbly also update this again on the Monday before I leave. So keep your eye out. :)

Only 20 More Days

20 more days and I will be working in Walt Disney World. And to celebrate online I am opening my journals up to family and friends on facebook. So I thought I would spice up this place a little more for those who have either never been to Disney World, or those that just want some memories brought back.

The picture above is taken in the Canadian Pavillion in Epcot. It has been some time since I have last been there so I will do my best to explain. The two brown buildings on the left are the two main shops. I believe they also have an outdoor cart. That is where all the people in Merchandise work. The building in the distance on the left of this picture is Le Cellier Stakehouse. It will be there, or in the outdoor food cart that I will be working at.

To the left of this here is Spaceship Earth, the symbol of Epcot. Even if you have never been do Disney World most people seeing this already know what it is. Spaceship earth is not just the symbol but also has a ride within it.

Epcot is the park I will be working in. It is one of 4 Disney World Parks. (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios (MGM Studios) and Animal Kingdom.) There is the two water parks as well but I am talking about the ones with rides.

So I thought I would share a picture of it as well. :)
This is a picture from inside Le Cellier Stakehouse where I possibly will be working a month from now. I have always liked the look inside here. Thought it will be my first time seeing it when I start work.

As for where I will be living. I don't want to jinx it at all and show too many pictures. But the pictures below are two pictures of the Commons. Where most people coming to be part of the CRP live. I may or may not get put there but if I do you can at least see that before I get some pictures up. :)

And to add to that, anyone who is wondering that the houses that cast members live in are like, this is a tour by my friend who is working down there now of her first apartment that was in Chatham Square. (Another cast housing area.) I promise I will make a video tour of my house as soon as I get the chance. :)

Krystal's Apartment Tour

Anyway 20 days left till I am moving to Disney World. I am so excited. Things will start getting busy now I am sure. I still have much to do.

25 days left

Click on the picture above, hopefully it will go to a larger version. Otherwise I will post a link to see the full size of it so you can read it.

25 more days. Time is still flying by. I am still so excited, and very nervous. I really cant wait to meet everyone. It makes me so happy that I am getting along so well with those going the same time as me, and those still down there.

I started getting those second thoughts now. I hate those. I fear that I just wont be able to make it the year. Not that I will get home sick as much but just shearing everything. I am so privet in life. To suddenly have to sleep with someone else in the same room. Well it will be like one long vacation I guess. I just need to think of it like that. Nothing will stop me. Not even these thoughts. I just hope time slows a little bit so I can finish everything I need to do here. I think leaving with everything done that I wanted to do would make it easier.

So what else is there to say. Oh, I got my Visa... Is that new. I cant remember if I posted it or not. Also I think I will be getting a ride to the air port cause the bus is just crazy. I would have to leave at like 1:30am and then wait at the border till 4am till the next bus comes. NOT something I would want to happen on a night I probably wont sleep much anyway.

Well I am on my way out today for supper. I think I need a drink. LOL. And some ribs. I really need ribs. :) And I guess it celebrates the 25 more days left. :)

One More Month (And a Few hours)

Wow this is so strange to think of. I am both excited and nervous. Back in February when I first got the information that I would be leaving for Florida on Dec. 2nd I really never believed this month would ever come. It was so far away. Luckily I had many people I met from the interview going at different times. My Friend Krystal, who I actually told about the job and got her to apply, she got in for May 6th and has been there ever since. 2 people I met in the college program went down not long after Krystal. She was the first person I had met personally who went down. After that about 3 more people I met thought the interviews went down in June, and one more in July. None I had MET in August but people I knew online were going. And not much before that the college people returned home from their program there. By September most of the people going down I knew only from online, but knew quite well. I can think of 2 who I have talked to a lot who made it down in September. And then finally the last one I knew was in October. She was the last from our little interview dinner group we had to go, now it is just myself. I do believe I am part of the LAST of our whole interview group to be going, along with like 14 other people right from out group.

Well now it is my turn. I got my Visa not long ago. But there is still SO MUCH to be done in such a short month. There is lots of people I must go and visit, and collect addresses. I got lots of cleaning to do, have not packed a single thing but I think today I will make a packing and things to do checklist and hang it on my wall. So that I don't miss anything and over this next month if I forget something I will just add it to the collection.

So other then that I am all ready. This month will fly by but I will try to maybe start keeping this updated weekly till I leave just to get used to it. Once I leave of course the first week will be a daily post. But after that will be whenever I have time. And will probably be less often then my other Disney Journal. So if you haven't yet check it out. It will always have more detail then this one and be updated more often.

Calgary and 50 more days

Since this is mainly Disney stuff. I will keep the Calgary part short.

I went to Calgary Alberta for my cousins wedding the end of September. Man was it ever the best way to end a horrible month. After such horrible days of September with the pets getting sick or hurt, it was so great to get to to get out of the Provence and go see my family. The hotel was AMAZING. Check it out: http://www.fairmont.com/palliser/Photos/ The celebration was MAGICAL and really I had not had that great of time in years. I wish my family lived closer so we could be together more often. To end off this amazing time I had probably one of my last dreams come true before I go work at Disney. I got to take the train from Edmonton to Toronto. That is a 2 day 3 night event. I met some awesome people who I will never forget. Learned some new card games. AND saw the northern lights. THAT was neat. They wernt as bright as they would have been further north. But it was just neat to see. They looked like a huge waterfall in the sky.

Well now I am home, and in thinking about it, I only have 50 more days. That is awesome, and really weird. Finally such a small number has come. I cant belive it has been 50 days since my 100 day mark. Time is going by all too fast for me. Less then 2 months now.

Today is also our thanksgiving dinner next door. Which means if I want to make a picture to share with everyone to celebrate only 50 more days, I should get started soon.

I still have much to do. This month I have to finish up work. As I am not working past November. 1st. That will be anoying but good when it is all done. I have to get my health stuff still. I have to get packed as well. But that will come later of course. I am spending most of November drawing. To catch up on things and finally be super happy that I am done working. LOL.

Anyway no flight change yet. LOL. I was so expecting by now they would have changed again. I will keep my fingers crossed and hopefully no more change. :)

(If you want to see more about my trip to Calgary, go to the link below, to my Not So Disney Journal. I am still adding entries. I have been rather busy the last few days. So by my next post on here is should be done. It has pictures and such too. And I might add some videos for my friends on livejournal. Otherwise most of the stuff can also be seen on facebook.)

http://timitu.livejournal.com/

Have a magical day. And to all my friends on here. I will catch up on your journals soon and leave comments when I got some time. I really missed reading them all so I am glad a few of you have posted things so I have stuff to read. :)

Disney Package Has Arrived

Well September has been a bad month. So many pet problems. But it sure ends with a blast. Today when I got home from taking my dog to the vet to have his stitches removed (FINALLY) I saw we had a package. Could it really be what I was hopeing for. And guess what. It was! My Disney Package! I was SO happy. It is a little bent so it was hard to get pictures of, but I am flatening it out now. I will share a few pictures I did get cause they turned out quite well. :)

This is the first one... of course. The front cover of the Disney Folder. No picture collection is complete without it. :)

The next one below is the opened up version of the package, with an opened view of the "Circle booklet" in the center.

Yay. I cant belive it is finally here. Like I said I cant tell too much about it cause I have hardly looked at it. I dont like it all folded. So I am hopeing I will get the chance later tonight to read it better. As usual my disney live journal page has more on this as well as more pictures. I just had to let you know I got it. I have so much to do this week as I am going to Calgary at the end of it for my Cousin's wedding. So I will leave you with two more pictures, and when I get home from Calgary I will get back to my ruteen of Disney Journals and such. :) It feels so much more real now. Only thing else I need is my Visa. Once that gets here It will be very real.

Here is the two luggage tags, the mears bus coupon and behind is the Disney Look book... which you can see better below. :)

Flight Info Changed

I have to admit, I am kind of mad about it. I picked the early flight for a reason. Now it is later then I would have liked it to be. Oh well maybe I will meet up with more people going the same day as me. I now arrive at 11:30am (roughly) in Orlando. So I am much later then the 9:15am I was landing at before. This means it will be past lunch by the time I am sitting in my apartment unpacking. That is a lot to get done in a short amount of time.

But oh well. There is good to it. I wont have to wake up early. And as long as the weather is not bad I should be able to get a drive no problem to the airport so I can get leaving pictures before I go. :) So I have to admit that is fine with me. :)

100 MORE DAYS

I cant believe it is finally here. 100 more days from right now I will be sitting in Orlando Florida unpacking my bags and beginning my new life at Walt Disney World. I am so excited. There is so much to do still but now it is now that things will finally start happening.

Not a whole lot planned today. This evening I will be going out for dinner with the whole family to celebrate my cousin's wedding shower. I am excited cause I will get to see her and meet the new baby. So that in a way is the best kind of celebration I could ask for for my 100 more days. Once my vlog gets finished and ready I will edit this post and put it in as well as my picture to celebrate.

To all those who are writing blogs that I am watching. I am really enjoying them. I may not get by as often to reply. But I read each one you guys make. And if I get behind I go back and read them. I am loving your stories of getting ready to be at Disney or being there. It is the best part of waiting to be there. :)

Date Change

Not my arrival date, but there was a good part to being one of the last people of our interview group to go. Due to the American Thanksgiving falling on the date I am to return back to Canada, Disney Extended my contract a week and I will be there till Dec. 4th 2009. So yes... my banner will have to change.

Also I updated a few things around. Added the new blog's I read feature and added the link to my regular journal on LiveJournal. It has my non Disney stuff, if anyone did want to know what is up with work here and my art and just about anything that is not disney related. But go check out some of the blogs I read. It only shows the 5 most recent blogs. So you will know who is most active. Cause I wont be too active on here till it gets closer.

Anyway thought I would update that quick. I am working a lot right now, but once I get some free time I will update my banner for this page. (Hopefully end of August I will have some extra time on my hands.)

Welcome to my Disney Blog

Welcome to My Disney Blog

As you can probably guess by now, I got hired as a Walt Disney Cast Member. My arrival date is December 2nd 2008. Not much more to say for this blog, Just a super long wait. I have actually known about my accepted arrival date since Feb. 15th 2008, so I have already been waiting almost half of my wait so far. (And I actually found out about the job possibility and began applying in July 2007. Due to the fact I just missed the interview in my area I had to wait till Feb. 2008 for the next interview.) Anyway I will be working in Epcot in the Canadian Pavilion. (If you want to know more check out some of my links, especially the presentation. That is a fun way to find out more about this job.) I am from Ontario, Canada. Which is one of the many other countries Disney hires from for a one year contract that I am part of. I am part of the CRP or (Cultural Representative Program). Don't be fooled by the word Program, you don't have to be going to college our university for this. (The International College Program, ICP or the College Program, CP you have to be in a 4 or more year program in a college or university.) I myself have finished college in the Technical Theater Program. But if even half the people working in theater are anything like most of the people I met going there, I don't want to be part of that group. LOL.

Due to the long wait before I leave, and lack of information I am not going to be posting more posts to this blog till around November 2008. This is because there really is not a whole lot to say. Between now and then the main Disney things are, Gathering a bunch of Canadian stuff, getting insurance for my first 4 months of being down there. After that I am on their insurance. And that is about it. My flight there is already booked and plans are being made with it. I will be making 3 PRE-Disney Vlogs to post on youtube, which you can find at the bottom of this page. One will be posted in August, the other will be posted in October, and the last will be posted in Late November.

If you plan to watch this over my time of working in Disney, then over the months of waiting be sure to check out some of my links on the left hand side. My "Other Disney Journal" will be updated often. For little things like "I got all my Canadian Stuff", and to "announce my new vlogs" and other things relating to Disney and my future there. I also have at the moment two Disney Cast Member Journals who are already down there. So if you get bored check them out. And if your from
Canada, Mexico, China, Morocco, France, Norway, Germany, Sub-Saharan Africa (Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Lesotho, Swaziland, and South Africa), Southeast Asia (India, Indonesia, Nepal, Thailand), Italy, Japan or United Kingdom then you are also able to apply for the same 1 year contact with Disney that I have. (And even if your not, the ICP includes the countries above and many more.) So I have many sites also that may help people in their "Quest to be a Disney Cast Member."

And like I said not much else to say but bookmark this blog and keep an eye on it the end of this year. Hopefully I can make it fun and exciting, both for thoese thinking of applying, and thoese who just want to read about the adventure. :)

Anyway Have a Magical Day. (And several months)

Be Back in October or November.

First Blog

I am just starting. I promise I will get this all fixed up and looking nice when I get some time and the weather cools down a bit. So keep an eye out for now. :)
